Positivity Leads A Healthy Lifestyle


Sometimes negativity overweighs the positivity in life and finding the culprit can be challenging. If you have tried everything in your power and still can’t overcome it. It’s time to re-evaluate your life choices.

Let’s take a look at some of the things that could be weighing you down.

Start by detoxing your thought process. Clear your mind and thinking about things that have made you happy. Once that’s done, we can look into your personal life.

WORK

Is your job getting you down? Do you find yourself whining when you have to leave the house? If you’ve answered yes, then it’s time for a job change. Sometimes, changing jobs can completely revitalise you and turn you into a different person. Try and find a job that you don’t need a holiday from.

RELATIONSHIPS

Nothing gets you down more than the person who pulling you that way. If you’re finding yourself crying or fighting more than normal, then let go of what’s hurting you. This is a huge contribution to your unhappiness. If you love something, set it free. Right?

DIET

Your mood changes based on what you eat. If naughty foods are your go-to, then let me say this: you won’t feel good – simple. Incorporate healthy foods into your life. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, trust me they will make you feel more motivated and happy.

SLEEP

Let’s be honest, it’s undoubtedly the best time of the day. But yet, why is it, when it’s time to sleep our bodies say ‘Nah, it’s party time!’ Well, it sounds like you’ve missed your sleep train. If you have an irregular sleep cycle you will be tired all the time. You could sleep for 11 hours and still wake up tired (welcome to my life). Try aim for 7 – 8 hours each night and if you can, go to bed the same time each night. If you find yourself super sleepy after your 8 hours sleep, then force yourself to get up! Your body will thank you later.

Let’s replace those negative aspects and turn them into positives.

FREEDOM

Get out of the house when you have some spare time. Ditch the couch and Netflix and enjoy the sunshine and outdoors. You’d be surprised what a little vitamin D and fresh air can do. Get some of both. If you’re one of those 9-5 workers and hardly see the sunshine. Go out on your lunch break and take your shoes off and wiggle your toes in the sunlight.

MUSIC

Seriously, though, how relatable are song lyrics? Sometimes they’re inspirational and other times it just explains exactly how you’re feeling. Chuck some headphones in and block out the world. It can be therapeutic and relaxing. Disconnect from the world and enjoy the sweet sounds of inspiration.

MEDITATION

This is a challenging but rewarding relaxation method. Meditation, if done properly can solve a lot of problems. Try practising with small and guided sessions. Usually, you can find these on YouTube.

SOCIAL

There’s nothing better than going out and enjoying your social life. Get some friends together, plan a night out and enjoy the nightlife. Weekends are reserved for a carefree attitude. So, let your hair down, find your best shoes and connect with your inner party girl.

So, there it is! Take control of your life again and have fun. Don’t let the negative rule your life and certainly don’t allow your mind to control how you feel. You’re the change your body needs; start with a positive outlook on life and go on from there.
