Originally, I wasn’t the type to try the hardcore pre workouts of the crazy gym world. I believed that I had enough fuel in my body to charge through my workouts without any help. It wasn’t until I started reading about pre-workouts that I came across Cellucor C4 Extreme Pre-Workout
The main reason I hesitated in trying these potent products, claiming to enhance your gym performance is that my body is petite and sensitive to a lot of preservatives and chemicals.
Luckily, after hearing about Cellucor C4 Extreme Pre-Workout, I decided to give it a go but I started with a low dose in case my body didn’t react positively to it.
1 scoop to 4-6 oz of water, 20-30 minutes BEFORE your workout. It works out to be about 118-177mL of water if we’re thinking technically. I usually mix it with 200mL of water, because I find the taste is too strong.
After building a tolerance to C4, I started to take a normal dosage every day before my workout and found I was improving and had a lot more energy to play with. The sweat was pouring out of my skin during workouts, but it was nice because I felt like my body was releasing all the bad toxins.
I used it for four weeks straight and then had a four-week ‘off’ period, so my body didn’t become too dependent on it. I tried the watermelon flavour, which I enjoyed. The taste was fruity but strong. Each person will feel differently about it, depending on your taste.
Training without C4 proved a challenge. Pre-workout is like an energy cheat that convinces your body it has loads of energy to release, due to all the stimulants in the product.
I really enjoyed drinking C4 before my workouts, however, if you’re the type of person who doesn’t enjoy an itchy/pins and needles feeling, then I wouldn’t recommend this or any products that contain Beta Alanine. The bodybuilding.com website provides insightful information about the science behind that specific chemical.
Bottom line is, you never know what’s right for you unless you try it. Cellucor C4 Extreme Pre-Workout has 30 or 60 servings and seven tasty flavours to choose from.
You can pick your tub up at the Cellucor website for $39.99 for 30 servings and $59.99 for 60 servings. Bargain!
